Latest developments in fabrication (other groups)

These are some of the latest developments in fabrication of twisted van der Waals heterostructures obtained by other research groups.

Quantum Twisting Microscope: Developed at Weizmann institute this great instrumental achievement allows to measure either electron transport between two layers of 2D materials as their angular alignment is varied. You can also read the News and Views writen by a member of the consortium.

Polymer free transfer: This great new technique allows to transfer 2D materials to form a van der Waals heterostructure without the use of polymers increasing the cleanliness and facilitating the staking process.

Deterministic fabrication of graphene hexagonal boron nitride moiré superlattices: all the lastest technique to determine the crystallographic orientation of the flakes before stacking them in order to obtain in a deterministic way aligned graphene/BN devices.
